hutchies
Re: Cresting?? You have to refletch after it is crested or wrapped.

dogdoc
Re: Cresting?? [ QUOTE ] so the fletching goes ontop of them [/ QUOTE ] yes---glue the vanes/feathers to the cresting wrap.
VermontHunter
Re: Cresting?? Real simple...... First you will need some bare shafts.....then you take the wrap and role it evenly onto the shaft smoothing it out as you go to remove any small air bubbles that may get trapped. After the wrap is applied you are now set to refletch your shaft...... Using a mouse pad to lay your wrap on, makes it easier to roll the shaft consistanly....... When you are done this is what you should end up with.....

hutchies
Re: Cresting?? Doc and Vermont Hunter. Do you guys know if I could tape off and paint a carbon arrow instead of wrapping it or possibly even dip paint it. It seems like it would be alot easier to touch up. hutchies
Re: Cresting?? Personally I like blazers. Never shot the quickspins but I use a biscuit and have heard they drag on the biscuit alot. Blazers are stiff and short. Give them a try.

VermontHunter
Re: Cresting?? I've used Quick Spins, they didn't whistle but I do think they are overated for the price.......I have heard that the Blazer Vanes are the ticket and Bohning will send you some samples to try for free ( This I know for a fact becuase they are sending me some.... ). Also AAE Elite Plastifetch is a great Vane..... Hutchies I've seen Todd's video and will offer some great do's and don'ts so definately watch it.....Yes you can tape and mask but there's some steps to follow such as using Laquer Paints,,,,it even shows the method on how to fade the paint......
