Tony
i just got back from the NFAA 3D Nationals in Yankton South Dakota.. i had a great time and i shot pretty good.. the weather was really hot.. saturdays temps were around 103 and sunday was about 94... the terrain was really hilly and steep . there were lots of side hill shots mixed in as well. the targets were delta targets with low 12s and we shot 30 each day... a few shots were so steep downhill that it was like shooting out of a 35 ft treestand.. i shot in the freestyle class...i shot 2 down( 298 ) the first day which put me in 10th place and first in flight 2... the second day i shot 3 up or (303) but im unsure of where i placed .. but i know i didnt win my flight. a guy i shot with was on fire and he shot 21 low 12s out of 30 targets .. he finished 38 up the second day and overall 636 , i only had 601.. my goal was to just shoot even all weekend.. so i did ok.. i kind of knew i had the archery gods on my side when i shot the first target the first day , missed the range by 3 yards and shot a nice low 12.. the weather on the first day was really unbearable... i was feeling very weak as i finished up but i got some gatorade in me and a cold shower and some AC and i was ok.. there was one person that passed out on the course.. the area in Yankton was nice and i shot a few pics but not to many.. we ate at a great place called Jodeens that had a buffet that was just awesome.. looks like im shooing pretty good , im off to Oklahoma in 2 weeks to meet with the gang down there from Realtree.. im brining my best game... MCH
Re: NFAA 3D Nationals You better bring your best game... 1 up is still a good score on those low 12's, Tony. I've only shot one of those tourneys and I shot 201 on a 20 target course. All day long I was complaining about how bad I was shooting only to end up winning it by 2... Can't wait to see ya... Tony
Re: NFAA 3D Nationals so i finished in 8th place overall and first in the second flight.. the reason i won my flight was that the guy that shot 38 up the second day won.. he came out of the 2nd flight to beat them all by 4 points.. yup my game is just as bad as it was before.. im probably going to get stomped again by you Okies.. im bringin plenty of one dollar bills because i expect to hand a bunch out.. Shoot Strong Tony
