Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! I don't know what I'm doing right now. Maybe a new bow? Maybe just some upgrades? That XTEC still gets me sometimes. It shot perfect on Saturday and shot a good 4" to the left on Sunday. It's still left today too. Oh! The 2 points are bearable, but the 3rd one is the one that could break your nose and cause cancer. RyanH
Re: 2005 Hoyts! LOL i gotcha! Do you target shoot or 3-d any? If so what bow are you shooting? I think you have already told me but i cant remember!!! I have talked to 100 people about target bows lately!!!!
Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! Casually. I do shoot a little indoor and some outside 3D. It's not really major competition. I usually just use the same bow I bowhunt with. So, this year it was the XTEC. Next year, it could be the XTEC, Outback, VTEC, a new 2005 model Mathews or if I got really creative (and won the lottery), a UltraTec or Ovation. I just ain't real sure yet. Once the taxes get back and I shoot some, I'll know more. Until then, this is as CLOSE as I'll ever be to having something in common with Kerry...flip flopping! Hoyt...Mathews...Mathews..Hoyt. Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! They are up on Hoyt's site now. I must say, the VTEC is the only new bow that I actually don't mind the design of.

Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! The V/UltraTec are the only new ones that are somewhat appealing to me. The '04's still look good. I wonder what the '06's will look like.
RyanH
Re: 2005 Hoyts! In 06 i think they will do away with the flames and stuff! Cause there forums sure didnt look good! Im sure they will learn from that! Thats my guess! But you never know! I might be getting a Mathews LX for my target bow!
Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! That would be an excellent choice (LX). The Ovation looks like a killer 3D/Target-Only bow.
RyanH
Re: 2005 Hoyts! I dont guess i have seen the Ovation! Might have to check it out! Cuase im in the BIG look for a target bow! Just curious what i want! I just have not decided on a hoyt for target bow!
huntinsonovagun
Re: 2005 Hoyts! [ QUOTE ] That would be an excellent choice (LX). The Ovation looks like a killer 3D/Target-Only bow. [/ QUOTE ] I think it would also be a decent hunting bow. Long a-to-a, but I hunt/target shoot with a Conquest 2. Not had any problems with the bow being too long, just makes it that much more forgiving. I actually wouldn't mind having an Ovation or LX myself. Probably trade the C2 off after season..... Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! I would like an LX, but in Hardwoods HD. It's only available in X-tra Grey right now. Maybe Mathews will have something similar to it next year. Looking to trade my XTEC. How many times have I said that. Dern near 50 replies. We're almost half way there! Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! Ryan, Here is a link to the Mathews Marbleized Color 3D/Target Bows. They look awesome! I would have a heck of a time deciding which to buy, by my reply. I would think maybe Rootbeer.
huntinsonovagun
Re: 2005 Hoyts! Yeah, I have seen them. Rootbeer is probably most popular. Blackcherry just look purple....look gay when a guy is shooting one..... I thought all the Mathews were in HD now? LX came out just last year didn't it? (with Ovation, Mustang, and Outback.) RyanH
Re: 2005 Hoyts! My friend has a KIWI LX! IS that the lx or the oviation?
Chrud
Re: 2005 Hoyts! The pictures are of the Ovation I believe. The LX came out in '03. Up until then, the newer Mathews were all in Realtree X-tra Grey. You can't select HD on the "Build a Bow", so I don't think it is in HD. The Outback, Ovation, Mustang and Classic are all in Hardwoods HD and look incredible! I'd probably end up just getting a target bow in camo. The BlackCherry does look purple. And the Rootbeer looks orange. The Kiwi ain't too bad.
huntinsonovagun
Re: 2005 Hoyts! The rootbeer in person looks good. Probably the best of them all. I would get camo too.....camo is my favorite color. And it matches EVERYTHING!
