JimT
Awhile back I bought some four blade Muzzys from someone here..{I forget who, sorry}. I just got in from shooting one for the first time. All I can say is wow. I shot one arrow with the same head seven times, and hit the same spot every time. I was about 2" low from my field points, but thats not much. These things are worth there weight in gold. Who knows, maybe I will have my first "Muzzy Moment" this fall.... I ordered a broadhead target from Cabelas just now also so I can do some more testing. My 3d bear was taking it very hard. Very much looking forward to filling my quiver with these come the end of august........

Apparently the 4 headed model is a TON better than the older 3 bladed because myself, and MANY others couldn't get them to fly worth a darn, but I am yet to hear a bad thing about the new 4 blade styles. Not trying to ruin your moment, but at what distance were they 2" low? If it was 20 yards, they may be 4 or 5" low @ 30 yards, which becomes a big deal lol. Regardless, you are well on your way to success it seems

[/ QUOTE ] OK, I think I've got this firgured out..........it appears that only the 6-packs come with the practice blades and not the small pack of 3...... The cutting blades are the ones in the top-middle, and the practice blades are the one on the top-right........
Gator
Re: Muzzy Seems that this year MUZZY quit putting the practice blades in with the 3-pack........
kooter
Re: Muzzy i have never shot the 4 blade ones, but the three blade ones are awesome. A buddy of mine shoots the 4 blade ones and loves them. I think they have a little smaller cutting diameter than the three blades ones
TreeWalker
Re: Muzzy [ QUOTE ] I think they have a little smaller cutting diameter than the three blades ones [/ QUOTE ] Depends on what weight head you get, the heavier heads have larger OD.......and regardless, the additional cutting surface more than makes up for that OD......just gotta pick you spot

LifeNRA
Re: Muzzy You can buy the practice blades in a pack to fill up six broadheds. Just seen them at Cabela's today! Three or four blade heads.
Straight Shooter
Re: Muzzy I've hunted with Muzzy's for the last 13 years with great success. I did however have problems getting the 4-blade to fly or hit consiistently. I used the 100 grain 3-blade up until four season ago and switched tot he 75 grain 3-blade. That made all the difference in the world at 40 yards. Went from a 4" group at 40 yards to not being able to shoot at the same spot. I'll take that any day. As for practice blades. Anyone needing some for 75 grain Muzzy's, I've got a full pack, maybe more. Let me know and they'll be yours, FREE. Nothing wrong with them, I just use old razor blades for practice. wtnhunt
Re: Muzzy Been very pleased with the muzzy 3 blade 100 grain broadheads. They fly great for me. Cabelas sells the practice blades Jim.
Tony
Re: Muzzy for anyone that has problems with broadheads flying differant than your field tips . heres about 75 % of the reason why.. they need to be spin tuned to your arrows.. more than likely the insert in your arrow is off center slightly and this causes broadheads to fly bad... since i went to spin tuning i have never had a problem with getting my broadheads to fly exact as my field points.. and the first point , i have experienced the Muzzy moment many times the last 6 years.. my 3 blade 75s fly just great and do what they are supposed to do when you make the proper shot... Shoot Strong Tony
too_pointer
Re: Muzzy So Tony, if your insert is off, do you pull it out and try to fix it, or try diffirent broadheads to find some that fly good ? Mike
