Guest kunegos
I'm looking to unload 7 A/C/C 3-71 arrows. They are fletched with feathers. Any idea what they would be worth?? I would like to switch to plain old carbon shafts....the prospect of replacing the acc's is too much to bear. I am also wanting to crest/fletch my own arrows. Also, any suggestions on a reasonably priced carbon shaft? It seems like a lot of you guys shoot Gold Tips. Thanks a lot for your help. hutchies
Re: Arrow value I along with a few other are shooting Supercarbon Magnum 60-75's. They have a tolerance of +/- .003 straighness and are $60 per dozen. I have had good luck with them but you can only buy them fletched. They do not offer them in bare shaft. Guest kunegos
Re: Arrow value Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with the Arizona, it seems to be the easiest. Also, I'm going to stick with the ACC's for now. I'm just going to strip them and crest, then refletch.
VTbowman
Re: Arrow value UNless your buying used arrows then plan on spending about $60 per doz on most any brand . Give or take a few dollars, but they all seem to be priced about the same. Unless you go for something el cheapo and poor tolarences... LOL Which even then your only saving like $10 or so... I use a JoJan fletcher and have had very good results. There is better out there but there are worse too. Mine is extremely easy to use. Chrud
Re: Arrow value Did you seem to have pretty good luck with your ACC's? Here is my suggestion for your new arrow. Take a look at the Gold Tip Pro Hunters. They are all carbon. They are either straight or broke in half. ACC do have a tendancy to bend slightly, since they are a mix. So, right away you have an arrow that is a bit more dependable. The ACC's have very good tolerances. They are +/-0.003" and +/-0.5 grains. But, at close to $125 per dozen of bare shafts, they seem a bit much. The GT Pro Hunters tolerances are actually better than the ACC's. The GT Pro Hunters are +/-0.001" and +/-0.5 grains. Would you believe the GT Pro Hunters are over $40 cheaper per dozen than ACC's? The ACC is a good arrow. But, really take a good look at the Gold Tip Pro Hunters. Better tolerances, guaranteed straight and a whole lot cheaper than ACC's. Good luck!
Guest kunegos
Re: Arrow value Do Gold Tips have a larger diameter than other carbon shafts? I was wondering if I would have to change biccuits in the WB. I hear you on the tolerances for sure. The only thing is, with my old bow, ACC's were he ONLY arrow that would bullet hole on paper. I'm sure I don't have that problem with the Legacy, though. Well I have changed my mind again and am definitely considering some new shafts. Maybe I'll try the ACC's on eBay just to see if I can get what I want out of them. It might just pay for a brand new dozen!
