MichiganHuntr1
Well folks, with a small amount of races left until the chase for the cup, things are interesting for Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Heres the next six races: Allstate 400 at the Brickyard (Indy) Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen (Watkins Glen) GFS Marketplace 400 (Michigan) Sharpie 500 (Bristol) Sony HD 500 (California) Chevy Rock & Roll 400 (Richmond) Stat wise, Gordon doesnt perform bad at these tracks, and I think Jr. doesnt do too bad at em either, I may be mistaken, but doesnt he do pretty good at Richmond? So, what do you folks think? Will Gordon, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. make the Chase? Will only one of them make it? Which one? Lets hear what you think? BTW, Keep It friendly please, sometimes things get heated in here...lol
iabow
Re: What are the odds that they make it? Gordon first needs to tell all the fans at Wrigley stadium he's sorry, then he might make it in (Cubs fan). JR I certainly hope so, but I don't think he will. VermontHunter
Re: What are the odds that they make it? I'll tell ya the truth, it doesn't look good for either of them even tho the last few races favor both of them, they seem to have been biten badely by the bad luck bug..... I would hope atleast one of them get's into the chase, if not it's going to be quite boring....
VABuckSlayer
Re: What are the odds that they make it? I don't think they will make it. Both would have to have a major turn around the last 6 races. They will have to be in the top 10 because I don't think 400 points will come into play. That being said... they have a few good teams to leap frog to get in which means they will have to run top 5 nearly every race and from the slump they're both in I don't see it happening. It will be interesting to see though. Will be wierd if Gordon doesn't make it. It will still be fun for me because Rusty and Martin should be in. I'd like to see one of them win it all! Chrud
Re: What are the odds that they make it? Junior and Gordon are good at all tracks. Gordon, we know why, he's won at all of them. Junior...won at Bristol and Richmond. He is VERY good at the Glen, probably the best average there in the last 3 years. Did good at Fontana after he got his tire situtation in order. If you are good at Pocono, you'll be good at Indy. He was a 2nd place car last weekend and was top 10 all race at Indy last year until the end. Michigan is the only "so-so" track I'm worried about. Just remember, it was THIS time last year JJ blew a near 300 point lead. At this time last year, 10th place was over 500 points behind 1st. These guys are only about 130 points out of 8th. There still is a great chance for them to get in.
spyderpancake
Re: What are the odds that they make it? Don't forget about Harvick, either. I think they will make it, some guys like Mayfield and Jarrett could easily fall out. Junior should be good everywhere but Michigan, they still don't have that package working very good, but maybe that is straightened out... fisherguy
Re: What are the odds that they make it? unfortunately i think the odds are about 40% that Gordon makes it, and 25% that Junior does. If either of them is gonna make it they need to start having good cars at the beggining of races, and and manage to avoid any major wrecks or malfunctions.
