buckee
I'll have to try that vasoline idea, sounds good. I can't think of any easier way than what you have described, by pushing the arrow through, removing the broadhead and pulling out the shaft, other than getting a different target for your broadheads. I use two pieces of that blue insulation styrofoam, that you could probibly pick up at a construction site. They're about 2" thick, and last long enough to get your broadheads all tuned up. ruttinbuc
Re: target question Get yourself an inexpensive styrofoam block and use a paper deer target to practice with your broadheads. A good bowshop should be able to get you all you need.
buckee
Re: target question Hi texas, The blue stuff that they use around foundations and crawl spaces in construction is a lot denser than the strofoam your using. I think you'll like it, the arrows go about 1/3 of the way in, and stick out just enough to remove the broadhead and pull the shaft back out. You may want to get a few different thicknesses , until you find one that suits your set-up
buckee
Re: target question You should be able to get it at any large building supply store. Just a little warning or should I say something to keep an eye on. Once you've shot your arrow through this high density stuff for a while you'll notice a build up of the stuff on your shaft (the vasoline idea might take care of that, have to try it). You can clean it off with very fine steel wool.
