tedicast
Re: Powerbelts I am shooting 295 grain Copper Clad Hollow point PowerBelts out of my 209x50 Encore. I have yet to take an animal with one, but they shoot excellent out of my Encore. I prefer them over sabots for the fact that they are full bore size. This is a 100 yard group from my Encore, with 2 50 grain 777 pellets
AJ
Re: Powerbelts Just like any bullet, some guns like them, some don't. My Knight does not like them. I have not seen a gun that didn't like Precision Rifle Sabots though.

7th
Re: Powerbelts The 3 in-lines that was give to me ( I like my side lock but someone thinks I need to get with the times?) Like them alot, my son has killed 2 nice bucks with the power belts and Dad has killed some deer also with them and they work great from what I have seen. Most of the deer acted like they was Pole-axed.

WABS
Re: Powerbelts Pretty good! I'd saved a target from last fall when I was getting my Black Diamond ready for the ML deer season. Mine has open sights and out of eight shots I had 6 inside the 3 inch circle with one just outside the circle (almost touching) and I went brain dead on one up and right at about 4 inches from center. With my old eyes I was very happy with that. Sure would be nice for MN to allow scopes but then I'd probably just be tempted to shoot at ranges that I shouldn't. I shoot both lead and copper clad 295 gr PB pushed by 110 grains of Pyrodex RS Select
Guest NemadjiJim
Re: Powerbelts WABS, MN does allow scopes during the rifle season on ML's. I just bought a CVA Kodiak and some Powerbelts 295gr and will test it out this weekend. I am using Triple 7 powder also.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Powerbelts i will be tryin out some 295 aerotips...hopefully they'll shoot good out of my encore....i'm shooting shockwaves right now....i like em but if i can shoot a good group with the pb's like i do with the shockwaves i'll switch to the pb's...those shockwaves are harder than heck to load

WABS
Re: Powerbelts NemadjiJim - you are absolutely right about MN regulations. I used to hunt the shotgun season with my family for many years, but we've pretty much completely moved to the ML season to avoid a lot of the crowds and madness of the short shotgun season. We hunt down in the SW corner of the state.
RangerClay
Re: Powerbelts Been using them for several years now. My T/C Renegade loves them. I like to shoot the 348 gr. hp's because they just slap a deer silly. I have heard some negative reports on this forum about about what I believe was the 295gr. fragmenting in impact. Buy some PB's and give them a try. If they don't work just sell them in the Realtree classifieds I'll buy'em if they are .348's.
