kooter
Well, I am having my ACL replaced tomorrow morning. This will be my 3rd surgery on my right knee. Hope everything gets healed up in time for deer season. Kind of freaking out about it.
MadHuntinPastor
Re: knee surgery (again) I feel your pain all to well...I've had both ACL's done within 5 years. How are they repairing it? Mine were both done the hamstring style. Feeling pretty good now. Occasional pains or stiffness. Wish you the best and a quick recovery. kooter
Re: knee surgery (again) the first one in 1997 they used a piece of my hamstring. In Jan. of this year the repaired the meniscus. Now they are using a tendon or something from a cadavor(sp?). Kindof gross when you think about it. But the DR said this was the best way this time
HarvDog
Re: knee surgery (again) My son just had ACL replacement surgery back in December. He had the choice of a few different methods including a cadaver. He went with an autograft (his own) from his hamstring. His recovery has gone well. With the technology and experience nowadays, everything should go just fine. Speedy recovery...and don't skip physical therapy!
