spyderpancake
I was just thinking about this, there is a real possibility that Truex could beat Junior to a championship if they put him in good equipment! So how do yall think he will fare in his rookie year? Top 10? Any wins? I think he will probably finish around 12th his first year with maybe a win or two, but he and Junior will be fighting for the Cup the next year! fisherguy
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? I think Junior will be the first. With Waltrip leaving i suspect Junior will be back with his old crew for next year.
tedicast
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? I have to agree with fisher. Jr is the logical pick to win DEI's first cup championship.
MichiganHuntr1
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? I agree, Jr. will win a championship, in due time. I dont expect anything for the next couple of years, things are a little screwed up in dei at the moment.

Chrud
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? I can guarantee you that if Jeff Gordon ever got on the same team as Junior, he'd be an instant fan favorite. Not to the degree he is now, he is a fan favorite. But, all those boo birds that drown out the cheering would be gone. Of course, Jeff would have to join JR's team. I think JR's popularity would dip significantly if he joined Jeff's team. [/ QUOTE ] Oh no you didn't!!! I dunno how long you've been watching nascar, but i distinctly remember Dale Earnhardt Sr. doing amazing things..... DEI not being around long?? I dunno who your kiddin' buddy but it sure ain't me. You give Junior some time and he'll have you shovin your whole leg down your mouth, not just your foot!! VtBowhunter
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? Earnhardt Sr. did do some amazing things, but he didn't do them for himself, he did the for Richard Childress. With Sr. gone I see his company losing more and more ground. Guest BuckMaster058
Re: Who will win the first Championship for DEI? I'm a Dale Jr. fan, so I am going to have to say him. I feel that Nascar as a whole hasn't really recovered since 2001 at Daytona. I miss watchin that black Goodwrench #3 on the track.
