Chrud
Re: The Best Calls Out There Welcome aboard BDNT! I'm at a toss up between two. I really like Hunter Specialities for Deer, but I really like Quaker Boy for Turkey. I use them both. Matt
Guest madabouthuntin
Re: The Best Calls Out There Well, I bought and used a quaker boy doe in heat can as well as a Primo's can this year. I first bought the quaker boy, and didn't like the way it sounded. It made some weird sounds if you just flipped the can over quickly. So I bought the Primo's "the can", and I love it! It helped call in an 8 pointer this year, So I guess you can say that as of right now... I am sold on Primo's Have fun Stay safe! buckee
Re: The Best Calls Out There Welcome to the RealTree forums BDnT, I prefer the Woodswise mini-tube for deer hunting. I've tried others and they just don't seem to have what it takes to make these blacktails react. I bought the can and used it last season with no success, but am willing to give it another go this fall. I've got lots of diferent grunt tubes and doe bleat calls, but I'm sticking with the WoodsWise. (Of course, I am hunting blacktails, and they do sound a bit different than whitetail, not much though) But I use my WoodsWise when I go to the interior hunting whitetails and have had great success calling them in as well. You can do a buck grunt, doe in heat, doe bleat or fawn in distress ,all on the same call and it's not a huge cumbersome call, but tucks away nicely down the front of your shirt ,when you want it out of the way. I also have had great success with the WoodsWise friction tube communication call. Does and fawns love it. Guest madabouthuntin
Re: The Best Calls Out There Bukee, I didn't have alot of luck with any call this year. I had tried a couple of different grunt calls, but none of them really produced anything where I hunted this past year. I even used the same grunt that I have called deer in with in the past, but I was able to see how this one buck reacted when I was using "The Can" to bring him back in for a shot. He was about 40 to 45 yards out from me in thick trees. The can by primos really worked for me that day. Good luck with the can and Hunt safe! Guest buckfever7
Re: The Best Calls Out There This is a tough one...I think I own almost every one possible, however I have narrowed it down to a couple favorites - special calls by M.A.D. buck grunt w/ snort wheeze; Lohman's doe bleat; and for all around adjustabile reed style, hands free, I never leave home without my Bowgrunter + by AWay Hunting. VTbowman
Re: The Best Calls Out There Hard to say. Nothing seems to work for me.. LOL I suppose whatever you can get deer to respond to, in turn would make you confident, would be the "best" call. Many fine manufactures out there... I own Primos and Quaker Boy as of now but always open to ANYTHING that works... LOL
mainebuck
Re: The Best Calls Out There as far as reliability I would say the HS true tralker is a heck of a grunt tube. All other grunt calls I've had have frozen up in cold weather. Not this one. Always works.
