UPDATE:

Well, since i last posted to this in November, I kinda neglected my little project for several months.......meaning I forgot to water them, etc...LOL

Well thinking the worst, and figuring all of them were dead, I was about to throw them out.........but I figured, I'll start watering them again, just to see if some would recover..........turns out that the vast majority of them must have went into a dormant stage of sorts.....I started the watering about 3 weeks ago, and the're coming on like gang busters...

Out of the original 60, I've got 40 that have made it...........of the 20 that died off, either I had planted them too deep and mold had got them, or else some remaining worms got the rest........but I am still tickled. These little acorn sprouts survived around 4-5 months without water...........now about half of them have broke the surface, some are about a foot tall already........the rest I checked and they are just about to break the surface..........I'll be sure to get some pics up shortly.

they had a thing on lastnight at midnight on aoks and planting them and everything on get in the game the tv show on the outdoor channel they planted white oaks and said it take them 9 to 10 years befor producing acorns they didnt say much about the rest i read this like right befor i went ot bed then went up and that was on it was kinda odd
