VTbowman
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? I have been shooting since March and finished up all my box stands for rifle season already. Bow stands are out there year round so I just need to check on shooting lanes but most are quite open year to year so they could go unchecked and be fine. but I check them anyways. I have the next 3 days off and plan to errect 4 ground blinds. Now that I am trad only I may need to hunt off the ground more. I am ready as far as my accuracy goes, just need some property work to clean up and I am all set. Can't wait!
maddhunter
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? Been getting ready ever since May 7th (end of turkey season). I've been shooting my Switchback since I got it in Feburary. It was a heck of a change going from a 185fps bow 318fps bow. Took alot of getting used to. But I'm ready now!!!!!!!!!! tedicast
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? I have been shooting all winter. Just started practicing with broadheads this week. Still have a few stands to move. Been putting it off because of the hot weather, but it needs to get done soon.

Tominator
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? Yep. Been shooting on and off when it's not too hot. I got a new 15' ladder stand and stuck it in a cottonwood in the front lawn. I also got a little Block target. I take a shot, have my son move the block, take a shot, move, etc. When I'm out of arrows my son gathers them up and ties them off to my tow rope and I pull them up and start over. It's fun. For me at least, I won't speak for my son.
JimT
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? I am pretty much ready..If the season started tomorrow I could go and be confident in my shooting. I do need to get a peep installed and new leaches as well.
ruttinbuc
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? I have been shooting my hunting setup every other day and did a few 3D shoots. I'll be hunting in six weeks or so. I didn't have to adjust a whole lot from my field points to my broadheads. I am shooting the new Razorcaps. A little fine tuning and I am pretty much good to go. As far as gear it is just sitting there waiting to go for a walk.

Rhino
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? Sure, hasn't everybody? Breaking in a new mid section for the Morrel 3D target now. Been popping the other targets too. I don't have an arrow retrieval system like Tominator though. Used to but he grew out of it a long time ago. Canuck2
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? Well, I thought I was ready. But I just found out that the prime piece of land I hunt on has been sold and the one adjacent to it is for sale. However, I do have a plan B and C, so all is not lost. I've been shooting all year long and it's now just 3 weeks until our provincial Seniors Games. I'm looking forward that, and as soon as it's over, I have to prep broadheads and do a few other last minute things to be ready for deer Sept 1. MCH
Re: Whos getting ready for bowseason ? I shot almost everyday from Jan. 1st to June 1st, but a back injury made me put the bow up except for one or two days a year. I haven't shot in two weeks right now and I've been going through withdrawals bigtime. I do get to break the bow out Saturday at the Okie get together so we'll see where I stand.
