Need hunter input

Welcome to the Realtree Forums Manfred. cool.gif

It would be fantastic to be able to get up to date images. How can you do that??

Whenever I go on a hunting trip to an area I don't know to well, I always collect topo maps and aerial photos before I go on the trip. It is very difficult to find up-to-date images or photos and the areas usually look a lot different that the older pics.

Why doesn't Terra server and the others have up-to-date imagery?? and how can you achieve this???

Re: Need hunter input

A suggestion would be to be able to maniplate the CD with boundries, stand locations, etc.. on your own.

Not sure if thats provided or possible.

But if I bought a CD of my land I would want bold line boundries and some other things I could change at will.

Sounds like there would be a market for what your planning to provide.

Ranchand99, sorry, 2.5 meter resolution just won't be good enough plus I can't govern when the bird flys over.

Remote sensing satellites are not GEO, they are low fliers. You can set your specifications of when you want the image taken. They will cover the Earth at varying times of the day. If you want a specific time and angle, you can get it but it may take a while until the vehicle is in the proper portion of its orbit. Resolution is getting better all the time. It will just be a short time until you can get sub 1 meter GSD relatively inexpensively. Many providers with great products.
