We (I) must remember that while they (Muslems) don't worship the God that we do, they were too made in His image, and should at least be given the respect that that affords. . I hope that we do not get into the mind-set that they have as far as hating another person for not believing what they believe. It is the Christain's place to love even his enemy. To hate anyone or to not give them the respect that they deserve is not something I want to have to go to sleep with on my mind. Thank you Buckee for reminding me of that. I'd be careful about spreading hatred for a group of people based on their origin of birth and their physical appearance. It is not our place to hate our enemy it's is, however, our job to fight them on every front possible. To not give them respect as human beings created in the image of God is to lower ourselves to the moral level of a pack of wild dogs. That's not where I want to be. It is our jobs to fight our enemy with every means necessary and with everything that we have. If we hate just to hate or disrespect just to disrespect then we are no better than our enemy. If your going to Defend, then you need to be defencive, But if you are on the Offence, then your in danger of Offending. The terrorists are the Aggressive Offenders here, and are the Offencive Team (so to speak). Down through History, Aggressive Offenders, have always been the losers eventually. [/ QUOTE ] Funny stuff guys Unlike some people, I watch the news a lot. Not now just because a war has started, but long, long before the invasion of Iraq ever took place. Saddam was in trouble long before President Bush ever took office and long before 911 happened. Saddam and his cronies put himself/themselves in this position by defying all attempts by the world community to find out exactly what he was up too, especially after the invasion of Kuwait. He was given deadlines to comply with certain demands and ignored them. It was inevitable that the USA along with other countries would have to move on Iraq. It just happens that it was on President Bush's watch that these deadlines were coming to their end and he had to act on Saddam's unwillingness to comply. Then 911 happened. This not only caused the US to defend themselves against a world-wide terrorist organization, but also made the inevitable action against Iraq more urgent also. Respect everyone, race or Gender. But, respect does not determine trust in someone. I respect the elders, even though I dont trust all of them. If I see a muslim on a plane, carrying a big bag, im gonna be watching him like a hawk. I dont care if it does cause trouble. But when we get off of that plane, Id hold a door for him. I agree with VH, ignoring the canadian part. These countries are acting like why are we in Iraq. Most of us Americans understand why. But there are some who dont........ The british were getting alot of pressure to pull out. It seems like after the bombings, the public wants to stay in Iraq now. I know this may sound bad. But maybe it takes a kick in the butt to make some realize whats happening out there in this world. (Even though the kick in the butt that Britain got was very sad mind you ) I believe were all here for a reason, even the muslims. Maybe in time everyone may get along. This is kinda a rough topic for me to talk about. And To tell you the truth, I sometimes dont know what to think, ive got the good, kind, and loving person inside of me fighting with the lets kick their butt person inside of me.
