Tominator
You're going to get all kinds of opinions, but to me, Rocky's are tough to beat. I've had 2 pairs in the last 18 years.

superguide
Re: Best hunting boots I was in a Farmer's Union in Williston, North Dakota the other day and Danner Pronghorns were twenty bucks cheaper than they were in the Cabela's catalogue. Tried a pair on so I know my size if I ever get rich enough to buy some.

I just had the Rocky's re-soled last year, because the leather is still looking great! Also I had two pairs of Browning that lasted very long. Any of them two! BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Best hunting boots I like the Danners for all around hunting not so great when its 20 below but 90% of the year decent boots and waterproof. Pronghorns deffiantly worth the money
HuntingInMaine
Re: Best hunting boots I like lacrosse's boots and they have a very liberal return policy. But my favorite is a pair I got from Orvis. My feet haven't gotten even a little chilly, and until I got those boots, that was the only part of me I couldn't keep warm. wtnhunt
Re: Best hunting boots Been really happy with Rocky boots here. Rocky snake boots for warm weather and thinsulated goretex boots for cooler weather.
VTbowman
Re: Best hunting boots Another vote for the LaCrosse style boot. I own a pair of Ranger Boots that are just like the LaCrosses. I have owned both and they compare even to me but for $40, the Rangers can't be beat. Mine are full Advantage camo, 600 gram Thinsulate, and I use them on -20*F days ice fishing and hunting, was well as 60*F afternoon bow hunts. I like them mostly for the water proofing to the knee for those heavy dew morning hunts. My fields are normally covered in dew and a wet soaker of a foot will end my hunts quick, no matter what the temps are. In VT a October dewy morning can still be in the hi 30s... With the afternoon being in the hi 50s to low 60s. JMO

Adjam5
Re: Best hunting boots I have the Lacrosse Burlys in REALTREE hardwoods with the air grip sole. I paid about $90 for them a few years ago, and have not wanted for a boot in a long time. I think these are the best ones out there.

They fell apart within a year and Rocky sent him a new pair and the same thing happened even sooner than before. Not to mention they had that other camo on them. huntrman
Re: Best hunting boots I just got my Lacrosse Alphaburly's from Basspro today in the mail and all I have to say is WOW. Not only are they more comfortable than the Redhead ones I got too, they are smaller. They feel extremely comfortable and will hopefully provide warmth. Guest rutnroy
Re: Best hunting boots i've had the burly's and cabelas comfort tracs. burly's fit real nice but are a *itch to get off when your feet sweat. i now own a pair of muck woody max which are are rated 60 to -40. they are very comfortable and easy to get on and off. i don't think i would go to another brand after trying these. mainebuck
Re: Best hunting boots Alpha Burlys have been great for me. Get them a little big so you can wear an extra pair of socks, plus the extra room holds the warmth.
