whitetailtrax
I am continually amazed at what people pay for items on ebay....what is it? Do people not look at the shipping cost when they bid? Do they get so competitive that they just have to win the item regardless of what it costs? For example, I was looking at archery targets on the internet and found 3 prices at 3 different stores delivered to your door for $60, $65, and $70 respectively. Then I looked on ebay and found the exact some target (USED) with a high bid of $51 which sounds like a good deal until you throw on the $20 shipping. This auction wasn't even over yet so who knows how much someone paid. Why on earth would you pay more for a used product than what you could buy a new one for??????? I see this all the time. Am I missing something?
Guest shedhunter
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? Some sellers make a fortune that way. I usually check out the local stores to see the retail value before I intend to buy on ebay. So far I have bought all of my items way under retail value! Doing your homework can save you money! Guest Finn
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? People get caught up in the moment. Ever been to an auction? Same thing happens. That's what keeps the economy going
tedicast
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? Ebay is a great place to find some good deals if you use your head. Last night i was looking at 1 gig Compact flash cards for my digital camera. Found a seller that had a reasonable buy it now. Then I looked at the shipping. $25 to ship a compact flash card!!!...Thats just crazy!!!!

A lot of sellers list there items low, with no reserve... And then make the money on the shipping!
BuckNrut
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? I think they use the high shipping price to reduce commissions due E-bay.
Bond
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? People automatically think that since it's on ebay, they're getting a good deal. I watched a game camera on ebay sell for about $550 when in the description, it had a link to the guy's website where you can get the same camera for $499. Same shipping price and everything. Some people just aren't too bright.
Griz
Re: What is up with ebay buyers??? I know what your saying... I saw a ladder stand on there that starting bid was 89.95. I thought Man that's not a bad price for that. Yeah right... Until I looked at the shipping on it. They wanted 75.00 to ship that ladder stand... But that's ebay for ya...
