huntrman
Well hearing my brother go up and down about his new sight, I might just take the plunge and get one, since I need a new one anyways, even though they are pricey. He has the Fuse Navigator, which I'm not sure if anyone has heard/seen(see links below). Well that sight is pretty sweet, but I am also considering going with the Impact Cosmic. The Impact Cosmic has only a single vertical pin and you can adjust for distance. The Fuse Navigator can have up to 3 pins and you can adjust for distance as well, but they are horizontal pins. Now my question is for those of you who may have something similar to this, which is actually better? Even though my brother has the Fuse (horizontal pins) he wishes he would have gotten the Impact (single vertical pin). So I'm clueless when it comes to deciding. Please help. Thanks. ZooBear
Re: Which sight? Why do you need more than one pin an a movable sight?
hutchies
Re: Which sight? I put a moveable pin on mine and it totally threw me off. For some reason I was not holding the bow level I guess.
Guest kunegos
Re: Which sight? I have the Impact Cosmic and absolutely love it. I don't know why more people don't use Impact sights. They are super bright and very reasonably priced. I really like the way it is adjustable. It is a blast for shooting distances but I prefer a single pin for hunting...set it on 25 yards and I'm good to go. Highly recommended

mainebuck
Re: Which sight? I have no complaints with my copper john. I like horizontal pins better than vertical after trying both. If the pins are dim or if you're hunting in a ground blind with low light you can shoot based on the outline of a horizontal pin. Can't do that with a horizontal sight pin with multiple fibers
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Which sight? It is an apples and oranges decision. All personal preference. I have a CJ w/ 4 horizontal pins on one bow and a HHA single vertical pin on my other bow. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I like the simplicity of a single pin, with the option to quickly move it if I need to. In multi pin sights, I prefer the horizontal pin. For me, it makes gap shooting easier. I think if I had to choose one type over the other, I'd take the multiple pins in horizontal configuration, but only because that is what I've shot for years and am most comfortable with. Guest kunegos
Re: Which sight? By the way, I forgot to mention that the Impact is adjustable so it can be horizontal or vertical- 4 positions to choose from. Good luck with whatever you decide. mainebuck
Re: Which sight? I never figured how those adjustable sights worked for hunting. If you have a deer coming in do you adjust the sight guessing which lane he's going to be in, or do you wait til you're ready to shoot, adjust your sight for the correct yardage then shoot? Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Which sight? [ QUOTE ] I never figured how those adjustable sights worked for hunting. If you have a deer coming in do you adjust the sight guessing which lane he's going to be in, or do you wait til you're ready to shoot, adjust your sight for the correct yardage then shoot? [/ QUOTE ] Not really. Most guys set them at dead on at 25 yards for hunting. Today's bows generally shoot fast enough that if you hold dead on, your arrow will be an inch or two high at 20 yards and an inch or two low at 30 yards. If the yardage is greater than 30, they compensate by holding a little high. It takes a lot of shooting to be comfortable in doing this. Adjustments can be made hunting, but it is seldom done. The appeal is that it is one pin so there is no confusion at the moment of truth. The beauty of the adjustable sight is on the 3-D course. There you can fine tune it to the target.
