I would get the one that has topo capabilty if you do a lot of walking. Only down side you have to buy the CD for the MapSource. Good luck! The etrex Vista and the etrex Legend are both very good units. You can now get these models with color screens. The unit I am now using is the GPSMAP60C, it has a color screen that is bigger than the etrex models. I can read the screen without my reading glasses. I travel a lot and the 60C has an auto routing feature that is a big help. The Mapsource software is a must for me, I have the Mapsource topo and street maps. At their website they offer free software upgrades for their GPS units and mapsource software.
