Musky fishing

I have been after muskies for years and have always been jinxed! I have fished tourny's for 6 years and never boated a fish: I have watched my dad boat ski's for years, even have landed fish for other people, but I just can't catch one! Well I caught a little guy (28 inches) a couple of years ago. 2 weeks ago, a guy at work kept telling me he was catching muskies.....soooo, I headed out with him and FINALLY I latched into this guy: It wasnt' a monster, but it is my first over 40"...he was right at 42" and was quickly released....now I have "the itch" for them! So far, that stupid fish has cost me over 300 bucks, for just a few measily lures, new line, a rod holder and gas...and I haven't got another one yet.....If anyone knows of any good deals on muskie lures.....I am in the market! I just loved the rush! grin.gif310678.jpg

Re: Musky fishing

JamesVee: that is a sweet pic of your dad and fish!

We picked those fish up on W. battle lake in Ottertail county: The bite has been pretty slow as of late, but I am still trying:

heres one more pic: Perhaps the most important, these big fish need to be released to fight again and grow bigger! cool.gif
