This has been a great debate over the years. One thing that holds true, feathers aren't as durable as vanes, especially in wet weather. They are also much noiser as well when brushed against anything. So if you decide to use feathers, just be prepared to do or have a re-fletch job done more frequently.

exactly

I didnt have trouble shooting my feathers when wet out to 25 yards, but they are loud, and if you shoot through a deer there is no just easy clean up except for refletching

If ya would of asked me this last fall I would of said "Die Hard Vanes man"

Now I am a trad only shooter and LOVE my feathers. Although I have no choice but to use feather since I shoot off the shelf,I think if I ever went back to compounds I would still use feathers...

I personally have not noticed any flight change wet or dry either, although I plan to spray mine with silicon to prevent soaked feathers.

I have yet to do this yet...
