VTbowman Posted August 4, 2005 Report Share Posted August 4, 2005 It was kinda neat but definately set me back for a few seconds.. 1st let me state I am in a small town and know no one here other then my wifes family and a few of the local business I go to but really dont know them at all. I never talked about RT to anyone face to face. Other then Luke but everyone knows about that fool... LOL I went over to my local mechanics shop to get 4 new tires for the truck. He is the kinda guy that lets you roll your sleeves up and dig in to help if ya want. Well there was a beautiful black 4x4 Dodge Ram, full size pick up getting a suspension lift installed by my mechanic and some younger guy. This young guy looks over and says, "Is that VTbowman?" I stopped and eyed him for a bit and slowly said, "Yea.... -how did you know that?" He said he reconized me from reading here on RT forums. We chit chatted a bit and he sure does read a bit asking about this and that and quoting other recent posts, etc.. Its was weird but kinda cool. He said he had signed up a long time ago but never posts, just reads now and then.. he never mentioned his user name. I had to act famous and like it was no thing, besides famous people dont asks thier fans who they are right. As for the turkey target gettin all shot up? Bring it! It was just cool to meet someone who reads RT forums and is a hunter too. By no means did he give me any reason to feel scared over this... It was cool to be reconized.... For it is he who strikes fear in the hearts of all game animals, the master of the stick and string, and he is... dare I say...the "Deer Whisperer". So for now I shall just lurk in the shadows.
