LifeNRA
How do you have your pins sighted in? What ranges do you use? This would be for hunting purposes, not 3D. Weather it be 3 pin or five pin! Thanks! John
huntinsonovagun
Re: Bow sighting? One pin set at 30 yards. Aim slightly low at 20 and slightly high at 40. No guesswork.
Gus
Re: Bow sighting? I have a 10,20 & 30 yard pin. I am thinking about going to just one pin and have it set at 20 yards, but not going to change anything until the season is over.
Guest Finn
Re: Bow sighting? [ QUOTE ] I have one pin set at 20yrds. It gets the job done. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I only take shots inside 25 yards and 1 pins makes for no errors.
Tominator
Re: Bow sighting? 3 pins 10 20 and 40 yards. probably have used my 20 yd pin for over 95% of all the deer i've shot.
LifeNRA
Re: Bow sighting? Thanks guys!!! I have my bow sighted in at 15, 25, and 35 yards. But I know what you mean about flat shooting! Man! My very first bow was bought at a local department store for $80! That was back in 1979 when I was in 10th grade. I saved all my money over the summer to buy it. BTW, it was one of the first compound bows ever made! It even shot wooden arrows! But it was not near as fast as this bow is!!! snapper
Re: Bow sighting? [ QUOTE ] One pin set at 30 yards. Aim slightly low at 20 and slightly high at 40. No guesswork. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe its just me, but seems like you'd be guessing if you aimed low or high? Wouldn't it be better to have a 20 and 40 yard pin and hold right on? I have 4 pins...20, 25, 30 and 40. I don't like to guess or split pins, thats why I have the 25 yarder in there.

archerjg
Re: Bow sighting? My pins are sighted for 15, 20, 25, and 30 yards. It just makes it easier for me for the in between yardages. Archerjg

VTbowman
Re: Bow sighting? 20, 30 ,40 and 50 yard pins. I practice at 40 and 50 all spring and summer to make the 20 and 30 yard shots seem easier. I too will take a 40 yard shot at "calm" deer. My doe this year was at 36 yards. I just split the difference with my 30 and 40 while taking that shot.
LifeNRA
Re: Bow sighting? Cool all! I just got back from shooting my bow. I am all set for 15, 25, and 35! Bow is shooting awesome! I was even shooting at 50 yards! I kept them all in the target, 21"x 21" Block target! Which is no great feat! But for me and not shooting for over 15 years it means something for me! LOL Now if I just had it in time for the start of our bow season! Next year!!!
