spyderpancake
I went up to NC last weekend to shoot with my uncle, who is one of the most knowledgeable shooters i know, especially in the areas of reloading and old military rifles. We started out shooting a Mosin Nagant at 300 yards, then shot his Remington 700 VLS(my future gun). That is THE most accurate rifle i have ever shot. We were shooting clay pigeons at 300, then shooting little shards of them. I shot at at least 15 and never missed one. If you could see it you could hit it. Then we shot his buffalo gun, a C. Sharps .45-70, and that was a lot of fun. Lastly, we shot my Marlin .17hmr, starting at 100 yards. That was no challenge, and i had never shot paper farther than that, so we moved it 16 clicks up and shot 200. It did really well so we shot 300 with it. Guys, that thing is amazing! I could wipe out clays with it almost every shot! I knew it was accurate to 150, but i had no idea it would hold together that well at 300. So anyway that was my day of fun. Here are a couple pics. From left to right, my uncle, my brother, and me me with the Sharps sorry for the poor quality!
AJ
Re: Shot with my uncle last weekend... Sounds like a good day at the range. It's always fun to shoot with someone with greater knowledge and is willing to pass it on.
