waterfowler_gal
Well I believe it was announced already but Minnesota's opener is October 1st with a 60 day season with only a 4 bag limit instead of 6. (that includes one hen)... In your state what is your duck limit and how long is your season? Just curious to see if anyone has any changes or if they have stayed the same.... waterfowler_gal
Re: Minnesota Waterfowl Changes Generally speaking I know my Minnesotan forum members will support more theories.. We are trying to make a difference in the waterfowl habitat and numbers. It's a step however I hope it makes a difference and sets an example across the board. I could not imagine my life without waterfowl hunting but if we don't do anything about the declining population and habitat we won't have anything left to hunt... There is a lot that need's to be done but it's a matter of everyone doing something a day at a time... Just for me growning up on a farm my entire life I have seen the daily changes that weather, development, predator problems and food sources make such a big difference in the life cycles of waterfowl (animals in general)... Each year I have watched the waterfowl season get worse and worse.. and I am located in the Mississippi Flyaway... These migratory birds have been heavily effected by many things... Ok I am done rambling you get the picture... we can talk all we want about what the problems are and what needs to be done we just need to set good examples and do something...
