Stinger-Hunter
I just finished watching both volumes and I'm a little dissappointed. There were more 120 class deer than I've ever seen. It seemed like there were only a handful of bucks above 140" Usually above 75% of the deer in past years have truly been monsters. This year they were more like gremlins. I still love the videos and I did like the history on Realtree and Bill Jordon. I wouldn't bother getting Volume 2 except that the little Italian guy (I'm Italian too) bagged a huge mule deer 226" or something close to that. They should have put that on the first one and tossed the second one in the vertical file. Sorry to be so harsh.
markyj987
Re: Monster bucks videos I thought both volumes were awesome. I couldn't tell you how any single buck scored on them because that's not why I watch them. THe main things I look at are the equipment they use, the way they use different calls, bowhunting shot placement, and most importantly because how much these guys just LOVE to hunt. They could hunt does for all I care because I'm more interested in the way they hunt. To each their own, I guess.
tedicast
Re: Monster bucks videos I have to agree with Marky. It is the hunt I am more interested in, then the size of the deer. Watching someone shoot 150 class deer and bigger is not something I can relate to....LOL
Tominator
Re: Monster bucks videos Personally I didn't think it was one of the stronger MB videos, but hey, I don't have a vote because I actually borrowed it from ohiobucks.
dogdoc
Re: Monster bucks videos yep--the mule deer hunt was awesome. I can't really complain either since I got to borrow it from J.B. I just enjoy watching all the difference personalities, seeing deer from difference parts of the country, but my favorite part is just comparing all the difference terrain and habitats these guys hunt. Just remember--they've got to make the video--and some years there are just bigger bucks. If you just want to watch big bucks get shot then purchase Jack Brittingham's (sp??) videos and watch all the monster's he shoots as they eat over a corn bait pile in a pen. preacherman
Re: Monster bucks videos I just enjoy watching anything from Realtree! The only thing to me that was disappointing about the video's was that I was not on them!
Nosdog2
Re: Monster bucks videos I love em! The past year just get you spoiled it seems. You can't always get the biggens. The only complaints I have on this years videos was the shooting competition was as good when it was in a wearhouse due to weather. That and I wish they would put a little info up on the screen as to the conditions of the hunt like weather and stuff like what caliber gun they are using and such. Guest MizzouHunter6
Re: Monster bucks videos I think it just goes to show how elusive huge bruiser bucks really are.I can remember in realtree's older videos when they admitted that sometimes it comes down to a little luck. Just my 2 cents...

sureshot
Re: Monster bucks videos I love seeign monster bucks but did not even really notice the smaller classed deer, i just love watchign the vidios, Just goes to show that some years are better than others!! I wonder who here shoots 160-180" deer every year, sure go to the fenced in farms and shoot them but in the wild it does not worjk that way, I knwow up here it was a terrable year for big whitetail with the wierd summer and fall, just the way it goes!! Plus if I rememebr right most were bow kills, don't see much wrong with a deer 125 that goes pope and young , In the books so cannot be to small! yes that mulie that ralph took in the vidio had my blood pumping, the hunt was pretty well identicle to the P&Y I took last fall, I just love the spot and stalk huntign, I know the adrenallyn he was feeling, I took mine at 18 yards after a 1.5 hour 400 yard stalk, nothign better to test the old heart out!! I also loved the shootign comp, was nice to see the lady's out, sure missed t-bone and jeff though!!All in all was a great vidio in my opinion, new features, sure not the biggest whitetail but poss the biggest mule ever taken on film, that has to get soem brownie points!!!!
