Major: Outdoor Education

Minors: Athletic Training, Environmental Stewardship

Start of Classes: August 29

Houghton College

Year: Senior

Classes taking this fall: Environmental Earth Science, Biblical Interpretation, Program Planning, Methods & Materials of Outdoor Education/Camps, Local Flora & Vegetation (15 credit hours total)

Basically a "major" is what you want to concentrate your studies in; what you would like to apply as a career in the future. A "minor" is basically a course in something that you enjoy and maybe will need some aspect of it in your career or it is just something you want to learn about. A minor doesn't require as many classes/credits as a major and a minor helps give you more experience in some interest. Does this make sense fellow college people?

No kidding?!?! I'll be graduating from SIUE in December '05 in Biological Sciences as well. My emphasis is in Ecology, Environment, and Evolution. Never thought I'd see someone on here going the same place as me. grin.gif

I've got 17 credit hours this fall.....Statistics, Physics, Cell & Molecular Bio, Animal Behavior, Senior Assignment.
