Smitteken
Where can I get good topo maps and/or aerial photos of my families farm? We've got a few hundred acres that I am in the course of improving deer habitat on. The aerial photos will be a great help but the ones I've found I can't see squat on. buckbuster11
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos For topos, topozone.com is pretty good. Google.com/maps has some pretty good aerial photos in some places, other places arent very good. I'd check it out though.

ruttinbuc
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos Has anyone used this: http://earth.google.com/ Pretty neat, really. No topos, but it has a tilt feature to show terrain. Shows lodging, roads, schools churches and....just click the link, you'll see. Works best with hi speed internet. Did I mention its free! HuntingInMaine
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos I just downloaded that Google Earth program and it is great. And you don't have to have a high speed connection to use it (although it is recommended). I am using a dial up connection that is painfully slow and it still works well. ruttinbuc
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos Its Google , bud. I did a little enhancement with the photoshop. Google comes up a bit fuzzy as it is. Most states ar imaged with leaves on the trees. My state is not. For those states you need to back it up a bit and you will get a good idea of what the lay of the land is. I'll work on an angled shot a bit later and post that as well from somewhere in the world. AaronS
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos Thanks for the link ruttinbuc, that site is awesome. I zeroed in on the farm I hunt and when I zoom in close enough I can see my food plots in the overgrown field. Cool!
ruttinbuc
Re: Topo maps and Aerial Photos Pretty neat, eh! These are the same location at different angles. You can even reverse the view. You can see the terrain change.
