Guest moswitchback
Anyone tried the new moisture wicking clothing that is out these days? Does it seem to help any?
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I have one of the X-Gear Cold Weather shirts. I hunted with it a lot last year and loved it. Keeps you warm and dry. My kids make fun of me and call it my "Mr. Incredible Shirt". Actually, I look more like the Michilan Man. Pretty pathetic display, but hey ... I'm warm! MCH
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I've tried them but just don't like them. The ones that I've tried you had to wear in conjuction with another garment. Back when I was younger, my grandpa would try to get me to wear a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt during the summertime. He claimed the t-shirt would get wet and I'd get cooler. Didn't like that either...
AaronS
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I have some but haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll get out later this month to chase some squirrels and try out the loose-fit Under Armour.
bulldawg
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I use moisture wicking socks...religiously. They help, because my feet sweat alot, and in the winter that is really bad. The socks wick the sweat away, and that keeps you warm when your feet sweat. I swear by them, they are great! Guest kunegos
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I have used several kinds of wicking clothing and really like it for all kinds of outdoor activities- running, hiking, mountain biking, exercise, etc. I recently purchased the new Endura skin from Bass Pro and so far I'm really impressed. It keeps the moisture off of my body (which translates to cool in the summer, warm in the winter). As a bonus, it is supposed to be a scent suppressant. I will wear them for a while and see how that works. The tight fit takes a little getting used to, but is awesome once you are comfortable in it. Guest Bowhunter2114
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes yeah I have that redhead stuff. It is really cool "Like AC" when a slight breeze is going. As for scent control I do not know.

My wife bought it for me last Christmas. I haven't tried this stuff during warmer days yet. However, I did just pickup one of the starter shirts from Walmart which I'll probably try at some point. tedicast
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes I'm wanting to try it because I have a couple stands on state land that are about a mile and a half hike. No matter what I do, I'm soaked by the time I get to my spot. Now, I strip of my wet layer, and change a couple hundred yards from my stand. Been wondering if the Under Armour would help with this. HarvDog
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes The Under Armour seems to pull away the moisture. And I get underheated VERY quickly.

HarvDog
Re: Moisture Wicking Clothes Yeah man! It's good stuff. I would caution, however if you're one of the "big" boys like me, that you refrain from wearing this stuff without other layers over it out in public. The stuff fits real snug....know what I mean?
