Muzzy's: 3 or 4 blade?

Looking to switch from Thunderheads to Muzzy's this season. I'm thinking the smaller head may fly just a little bit better, but I really can't complain too much about the Thunderheads, other than the fact that they are a pain to put on your arrows. So let's have it......Muzzy 100 gr. 3 or 4 blade broadheads and WHY!!! Thanks guys!! wink.gif

Re: Muzzy\'s: 3 or 4 blade?

I shoot the 3 blade 125's and 100's. I recently went back to them after using expandables for a couple of years and last year I shot a doe and a decent sized buck. Blew thru both deer like a wet paper bag. Nothing bettter than Muzzy's in my book.

Shoot both 3 & 4 blade and see what works best out of your set up.

Well, the phrase "if it aint broke dont fix it comes to mind" However, having shot both thunderheads and muzzys, I understand what you mean about the hassel of getting the TH on the arrow. i am shooting the 3 blad 100gr muzzy. THey shoot great as long as you get some o-rings so you can line the blades up with your vanes. I dont know why, but more people seem to use the 3 blades...that is why I went with them, and the fact that I could get a pack with practice blades for $10. Like I said they shoot great, but I am sure the 4 blades do as well.

Re: Muzzy\'s: 3 or 4 blade?

dang it Ryan i wish i had said this before the OK shoot .. i could have brought my Muzzy 3 Bladed 75 grs and let you shoot them..

i like them a lot and they fly great as long as they are spin tuned properly to the shaft ... 3 or 4 blade really doesnt make mush differance ..

Shoot Strong

I have the three blades, only because my brother uses them. But with the o-ring, does the head come free once there on the arrow shaft?
