Remember when a picture could prove something??

After once again recieving that picture with the cougar and the mule deer i thought i better make this post before i snap. Technology is great, but remember when if someone could produce a clear picture it was irrefutable(i am sure that is spelled wrong)? Now you have things like that pic, the same one with the elk etc. It is no wonder we hesitate to believe stories of weird stuff anymore, or of trophy animals. What ever happened to teh good old days when the lines between fact and fantasy could be determined? To me all these fakes are just destroying the value and uniqueness of the legitimate cool pictures we all may have from past hunts, or events.

Re: Remember when a picture could prove something??

It all started when Baby Buckee's Momma wanted the photographer to take out that annoying red-eye's that kept coming up when she would take a picture of him....Hence the developement of photo processing programs....without that spooky eye thing going on.

I agree it all stems back, not to Baby Buckee, but to Baby Buckee's Momma and those first photo's she took when she let him outside and off of the chain.

I hear that he may make another appearance sometime around Halloween...but dont "Quote" me on that grin.gifI misplaced my photoshop disk blush.giftongue.gif

Man, it amazes me how fast I got roped into being the culprit for this one ....LOL

I blame the guy who came up with the Baby-Buckee picture in the first place...it's all his fault.

Seriously though...I know what you mean. Some folks just can't be honest, and these new tools make it easier to try to fool their audience.

Personally, I think it's all Bush's fault grin.gif

Too bad in a way, but that does not take anything away from the pics you take to keep the memories of your hunts.
