VtBowhunter
I don't use them, but after testing them they rate among the better carbons I've shot.
Guest TheDeerHunter
Re: EASTON AXIS ARROWS I shoot Easton Axis 400s and I really like them. I 've had them for over a year now and let me tell you they can take some punishment. But they are not indestructable. I broke 3 of my 12, one bounced off of the top of my block target and broke back by the fletchings. Another one I shot into a peice of steel shaped like a deer with a small hole to shoot through. And the last one I shot at a 3D target and hit one of the steel frame posts inside the target. The Axis fly really straight and have a stiffer spine so when they are shot they don't flex as much. Chrud
Re: EASTON AXIS ARROWS You can get an arrow with MUCH better tolerances (which WILL shoot better, especially with broadheads) for the same price. And some even cheaper.
ranchand99
Re: EASTON AXIS ARROWS Maxima 350's for me too!It depends on what you want.100gr is a good starting point. In mech.I prefer Rocky mountain Snypers, snyper xp3,or spitfire XP.In fixed blade Rocky mountain Titanium 100,or thunderheads.I would honestly go with a fixed blade.I have been through the mech stage, and am currently shooting the RM titanium 100's Fixed blade..Mech.,are popular though, because they fly like field tips, and some people just don't want to tune their bows, and make sure that the fixed blades fly right. My opinion. Guest shtr
Re: EASTON AXIS ARROWS The AFC was years ahead of the Axis and tougher because of the sleeved adaptor on the outside of the shaft. The Axis would be a tougher arrow than the AFC if the adaptor was on the exterior because of the arrow make up itself. I have only put one axis to the test and the insert drove into the shaft, splitting it. The AFC would have taken it . I am carefully considering a discounted purchase though,(for other tests) because I really would like to see that I have not yet seen the better side of these shafts.
