Guest Scrape Maker
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I've got the Mathews micro drop away on my switchback.I'm going to put the Trophey Taker on as soon as i get the money.I'm not happy with the mathews rest i've got.I'm getting alot of contact on the prong with my vanes. On the Mathews forum they r telling to cut the prong off some but i don't like doing that kind of thing. tedicast
Re: Switchback comin which rest? Take a good look at the Vital Bow Gear, Ultimate FallAway. It is a well built rest, that works flawlessly. Plus it has great arrow comtainment, which is a big plus for hunting.
Guest Finn
Re: Switchback comin which rest? Of the two, I'd go with the Trophy Taker. Congrats on the new Switchback and welcome to the Realtree site.
JPGS22
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I have a wisker bisket on my switchback. No noise at all and the arrow stays right on the rest no matter how the bow is moved. Great rest!

Guest nebraskahunter
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I have a trophy ridge drop zone on my hoty, but have had a shakey hunter also both good rests in my opinion.
Chrud
Re: Switchback comin which rest? Mathews Micro Rest. It is made ONLY for Mathews, by Mathews. It locks onto the riser, rather than just bolting on like other rests. It is the best rest I've used yet.
HeviShot
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I'm using a Ultra Rest.Ive only been shooting a bow since June.I'm shootin very tight groups out to 40 yards.I've used 4 different arrow brands all with good results.Zero maintenance and very tunable no noise. Guest TheDeerHunter
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I've got an NAP Quick Tune 2000RG on my Switchback. The RG stands for Roller Guard that is on the Switchback and I haven't had any problems with it.
markyj987
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I'm definitely a rookie when it comes to archery, but have to vote for the Trophy Taker Shaky hunter rest. The reason--I don't have to think about it. Thus far, it's never failed to perform for me. Awsome rest, do not have to worry about the arrow falling off. I have one on my switchback... [/ QUOTE ] You get that with the VBG Ultimate FallAway too. But, you get the added advantage of a drop away.

jbeck
Re: Switchback comin which rest? Had mech. failure with the drop away rest when drawing on a flat head the other year in Montana. I would have been really upset if it would have been a buck. went to the wisper biscut for hunting. Like the old saying says, keep it simple stupid. And I'm stupid. LOL The wisper does what I need it to do for my hunting situations.
BowJoe
Re: Switchback comin which rest? I shoot a Matthews FX so I just use the Quik Tune 2000 drop away. It doesn't really matter as long as it fits on your bow. Besides, a Drop Away is like your wife...She's there until you need here then she's gone.
