3 or 4 blades?/ Muzzys or exspandable broadheads?

Re: 3 or 4 blades?/ Muzzys or exspandable broadheads?

Im shooting Muzzy 3-blade. I have perfect arrow flight. I use to see some kick at the tail of my arrow (not because of the broadhead) but I changed to a drop away rest and solved my tuning problems.

As far as fixed blades Muzzy are currently my favorite. Im shooting the G Montec this year so that could change. The main reason most people shoot mechanicals (expandables) is because of poor arrow flight. Like them or not expandables have a better flight because of the reduced drag on the blades.

Personally I would rather shoot fixed even though I am a fan of expandables. I shot expandables for quite some time but once you assemble your first Muzzy youll understand why they are so tough. Those blades really lock in!

Dont get me wrong, ive shot several different blades but Muzzy are currently my favorite. If youre bow is tuned so that your arrow doesnt kick or wobble in flight I would go with the Muzzy. Some like the 4 blade and some like the 3. The difference between the two is the flight out of your bow.

i shoot mechanicals first but if there is a broadhead i want to try out and it is a fixed blade then i will shoot them. it doesn't matter what you shoot as long your doing it the right way. i like the rocket steelheads in the original and the new xp's. as far as a fixed head and i know people will get their undies in a bunch but he best fixed broadhead i have tested are the american broadhead company sonic broadhead the only true 3 blade cut on impact heads in the market and now they have the new liberty which is a 1 3/16ths " broadhead and the only difference between the sonic and libety is the ferrele whic on the sonic is steele and the liberty is aluminum but both are hard hitting and will put a hole thru any animal out there. if you want he best then sonic is it and go talk to dave the sales rep and see soem of the holes they drove into the african game and noth american animals they looked like they got his by a big bore bullet or as trhey saYy a 308 my favorite roudn and my encore which i hutn with is a 308 and they make big holes

Do a search for Muzzy's in this room, and you will find a slug of Muzzy topics........all saying the same thing, everybody loves their Muzzy's....

And I wouldn't give up my 4-blades for anything......shoot them once and you will most likely agree......super accurate, and leave a tremendous hole.......

I shoot both Muzzy's and Rocket expandables. One concern of mine is late season with extreme cold, I think your bow could be a little out of tune because of time and temperature. An expandable will tolerate a little tunning problem. So I shoot expandables after the first month of the season to be on the safe side..

I have shot Muzzy's but couldn't get them tuned in like I wanted, so I switched to Grim Reapers, and I don't think I will be changing anytime soon. If I ever did switch, it would probably be to another expandable, maybe the Spitfires, always hearing good things about them too.
