oo_buck
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman [ QUOTE ] Because Steve and I discussed this through email the night before he left, I don't have specifics yet. As far as tags, I'm not sure. Usually you have to draw, but private landowners get some to use at their discretion (I believe). We will have to wait until Steve gets back to find out. As far as being filmed, I am not sure. We won't have cameras there, but that doesn't mean someone else won't. S [/ QUOTE ] Understood. I trust you will post more info about the tags when you get it. Thanks
dogdoc
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman What an awesome time that will be. Unfortunately I will be on a vet conference in Tempe--or you can bet I'd be on the bid. I have always wanted to hunt an antelope with a bow. Best of luck to the bidders and you can add an extra fifty from me! todd
Guest Colorado Bob
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman Let me get this straight. You hunt a ranch that has not been hunted in 30 years. You are talking record book antelope-----food & lodging is included. My only question is it bow only? Any chance for black powder gun? Also I'm not sure if the hunt is for 1 hunter or 2? If it's 2 hunters--I'm assuming that the bid would be X2. To make the math easy if the high bid is $500-----then if I want to take a buddy it would be a total of $1000? CB

ruttinbuc
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman NR tag at the draw is $238. I am assuming the landowner tag for an NR would be the same. A resident antelope tag is $61. I'll be 11 hours away and maybe...just maybe.....I'll have to see how much gas money I have left! Chrud
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman That is unbelieveable! Steve helped out our family the same way for my brother's benefit in March. He raised nearly $3000 for us. When the tag info is posted, I'll be making a bid, unless you guys are too rich for me. Team Realtree
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman Guys I wish I had more info. Steve and I exchanged info at the end of last week. He said he would be leaving the next morning and be gone a week, so I expect he would be back sometime between Friday and Sunday. I struggled with posting this for 3 or 4 days, but because of the tight timeline, I decided to go with it. I have some of the same questions that you all have, and even talked with Tom Lewis at Gray Loon about it on whether I should go ahead and post it. Tom was the one that told me about the landowner tags. I also don't have clarification on the one or two hunters. Bare with me. I'm sure Steve will clear it up as soon as he gets back. christsavedme
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman Man this is awesome. Can't afford to even start to bid on the hunt at this time, but you can go ahead and count me in to tack some onto the winning bid. The amount I am not sure of, but once the end of the auction is here I will. This site is amazing!

"Bo" [/ QUOTE ] I cant see this going for $275 either! Lets see... My truck is broken down(I could use the wifes car,an escort thats cheap on feul, to get there). I would have to quit my job to go because I would not be able to get the time off(No great loss). I'd have to stop buying hunting gear this year(That will darn near kill me right there). OK...I'm in $325 (The wife...she'll kill me but I cant think of a better way to go)

stevebeilgard
Re: Antelope Hunt Auction for Norm Sauceman hi all: back from alaska, and will try to answer some questions. license fee is 238.00, plus a 15.00 archery tag, plus a 12.00 stamp. there are about 300 licenses left over for this year. but, lets get this hunt more interesting: we'll hunt this year or next year, WINNERS CHOICE! we'll hunt archery on our special ranches, or rifle (but NOT) on mine property. again, WINNERS CHOICE! this hunt is for one hunter. but, if you want to bring along a second hunter, simply send norm double the winning bid. again, WINNERS CHOICE! point is, i'll be very flexible. if you come this year, you'll be hunting with scott. next year, who knows. camera crew? nothing planned this year, but who knows.... expect the unexpected. here's what to expect. one old man guide surrounded by a bunch of antleope. if you saw the north american hunting show from june, or the one out last week, you'll see we have a great time. most of our antelope are 14 1/2" to 16", (pope & young quality), but there are a few even bigger around. expect a great time, a bunch of new friends, and a solid antelope. if you listen to me and not shoot the 1st thing to come in, you'll be in the P&Y. you take care of norm, and we'll get your motel, food, vehicle, and more. you'll have the time of your life. guaranteed. when i outfitted, i sold my hunts at 3,000. each, and booked full every year. they sold because of what i produced, each and every hunter, each and every year. except, as scott so graciously pointed out, when i was on camera with david blanton (lol). only person in 40 years to go home without a nice antelope. and i can't lie about it, because it's all on film. so, if you'll excuse this one little error (i won't tell you about the rest!), then come out and ave a great time. after the winning bid, we'll add on all the extra donations to norm, and this may heal a few wounds he's suffering. this is a norm thing, guys, so open your hearts and go for it. as for the ending date, i'll right now suggest september 1 as a date, but the final decision will be up to scott. if this is not a good date, just let us know. remember, this year OR next, your choice! steve
