Got into the walleye's last night!

I headed down to the shores of the Ottawa River last night to fish off the shore. I usually just get rock bass and once it gets dark, the channel cats start biting. Well, i expected that there should be walleye hanging around the area, it seems like a good spot for them since it's right where the Madawaska River flows into the Ottawa River. Anyways, I went down right before dusk and ended up getting two walleye! cool.gif I think that's going to be tonight's dinner. grin.gif Then I'm headed back down there to see if I can get some more! cool.gif

Sorry, no pics folks, but if I tie into them again tonight, i'll be sure to get some pics. wink.gif

Re: Got into the walleye\'s last night!

I'm gonna header on out there again tonight, there isn't much wind tonight. Muggs, I got there right before sunset and I got the two walleyes right before dark, no luck at all after dark for the walleyes. As soon as the walleyes turn off, the channel cats start hitting. I'm givin' er another go tonight, I'll be sure to take the camera. wink.gifcool.gifgrin.gif

Well, any luck?

What were you throwing at them?

It's really cool here in the fall and spring, the Erie Walleye can be caught right off the breakwalls with any shallow diving crankbait. They're all big fish for some reason, smaller ones are always over 4 pounds, and fish over 10 are common, it's a good time. grin.gif
