spyderpancake
How many of you like Casey? I think he is one of the most overlooked talents out there. I wonder where he will end up next year. Possibly the third Evernham car??? That would be awesome. Ray made a mistake by moving him to Cup so soon, and then he messed up again by taking him out of the #19 car just as he was getting going good. I would love to see him get signed on to a good team for a full season.
slugshooter
Re: Casey Atwood He's OK I guess. I don't think he ever really proved himself in the cup series. Some guys can move up quickly and be succesful, some can't, Casey was one of them.
spyderpancake
Re: Casey Atwood What do you have to do to prove yourself? Win a race in your rookie season? If that is the case, then Kahne, Mears, Riggs,Waltrip,Mayfield, and countless others are no better than he is. He won a pole and almost won Homestead, but got passed by Elliot and finished 2nd. Its just wierd to see all these guys getting rotated around to different cars(Blaney,Jeff Green) while there are hungry young drivers like Casey that could really do well with a little bit of time. And he can wheel a car, he won a couple wild Busch races. I think Evernham ruined his name when he put him in that lousy #7 Sirius Satelite car. Then he got the #14 Fitz-Bradshaw car, which nobody has been aboe to win in. I don't know, i just think he is a nice guy who could be really good if given the chance(but then so could I lol!) tedicast
Re: Casey Atwood [ QUOTE ] i just think he is a nice guy who could be really good if given the chance [/ QUOTE ] There are ton of driver that you can say that about. Kenny Wallace is the first that comes to mind. A sponsors dream, but he has never really gotten a real chance in top notch equiptment. dg
Re: Casey Atwood For every one name in the big time, there are a thousand guys who could do better. The difference? They don't have daddy's silver spoon.
