Tominator
Re: Hey Buckee.?????????? [ QUOTE ] Nope....I'm pretty sure he left on his own Bart .... [/ QUOTE ] Are you sure? He wrote me a nasty gram one day; made some threats he was going to come to Ohio and kick my tail, and I copied it to Scott and Clay. I'm not positive, but I think I got something back from Scott saying he was banned because he had done the same thing to a few others in here. Let's here the story of what hicks did on this hog hunt. Come on Uncle Sherm, I'll build a campfire, let's hear a story.

" Nightmare at Hog Lodge"....LOL Now I really wish I was going with you guys. [/ QUOTE ] Look at the look on Scott's and Tony's face. I might have been smiling, but my heart was in my throat and I was in defence mode....LOL (believe it or not)

JJL
Re: Hey Buckee.?????????? I didn't find much humor in it at all............at first. We better let Buckee tell the rest. ROFLMAO JJL
buckee
Re: Hey Buckee.?????????? OK, Jim, billybob and dawg, I can only tell this story from my point of view. The smiles and chuckles on everyone else's face, tells a whole different story however...LOL It's a bit long, but here goes. As some of you know, there was a member in here many moons ago named "hicks", who, for all intents and purposes, was a very tough member to understand, never mind try to communicate with. He was actually a member for quite some time, until he got his mind set on trying to tell us what a lottery was in here and tried to tell the administrator, that having a buck contest for prizes, was a lottery. Anyway, that conversation went back and forth, forever and ever, along with some harassing emails and PM's to a few women in here, as well as a few harassing PM's and emails to myself and others. To make a long story short, he got da boot from this site...(even though I miss him deeply..LOL ) Then came the Tennessee Hog Hunt, that started out with us raising money to take a disabled guy hunting with Norm (DHNA). As the fund raiser progressed, a few guys thought it would be nice to go along on the hunt, and the whole thing turned into a Realtree get-together as well as a DHNA hunt. One of our kind hearted Mods here (and you know who you are Mr. "D"), kept calling me and telling me I had to go to this get-together. I really wanted to, but there was no way I could afford to fly across North America to go to this extravaganza. He phones one day and informs me, after a short chat with my better half, that I was going on the hunt, my flight was paid for, and that's all there was to it. What a guy eh, and I had a real hard time saying no, but I did, and to make a long story short, he wouldn't take no for an answer. Then of course the fun started in the moderators room about how "hicks" lived around there somewhere, and if he heard about this little get-together, he might just show up. The movie "Deliverance" came up in conversation a few times not only in here, but also with my wife here at home. Even my wife was starting to get worried. I phoned back east and told my Dad where I was going, he also, out of the blue, without even knowing about "hicks", told me to watch myself in the backwoods with a bunch of strangers...LOL I've got to admit, I was a bit nervous going on that trip, just for the fact, I was going to be meeting complete strangers for the first time in my life, and spending the weekend with them. In real life, I can be kinda shy (believe it or not). It had been 20 years since I had been on an air-liner too and I wasn't looking forward to the hustle and bustle of the modern airport terminals. (my fears were well founded there...LOL) Anyway, Off I went and was met at the air-port in Tennessee by our great Norm Sauseman, who also had bluelk and his friend in tow. I was pretty nervous meeting these guys for the first time, but bluelk and Norm were great company, even though I talked very little during our trip to the Lodge. (which was quite a ways from Nashville air-port, by the way) Got to the lodge, OK thanks to Norm, and Bluelk and I stood outside and had a smoke together before entering. I was still pretty nervous, but hid it well (I think...LOL) If bluelk was still with us, he might tell ya different...LOL Into the Lodge I went, shortly after bluelk, and was greeted with smiling faces from all. Shaking hands with everyone, and trying to put forum names to faces wasn't an easy task for me at all, but I was wingin it OK... I'm not sure what time it was, but it was getting pretty late by the time we got there, and it wasn't long after that we all turned in for the night, for the big hunt the next morning. Next morning was great, (even though I slept in a bit and most of the gang was already out hunting), I felt refreshed and a bit more comfortable. I had no idea who to go hunting with, since Dartonman had already left and was somewhere out in the woods.I think I was the first one to down a hog...not sure now ..LOL, but the whole day went great. That evening is when it happened. We were all back at the lodge sitting around, chewin the fat, havin a great time, and me sitting with my back to the front door of the lodge and sitting almost directly in front of the door to boot. I wasn't even paying attention when he walked in behind me. I was having too much fun chattin with everyone. Scott was over on my right at the next table, Tony to my left, Billkay to his left, and bulldawg to billybobs left. I can't even remember who else was at the table now. Anyways, this guy that came in the door behind me, stops behind me off my left shoulder and mumbles something like "buck is here". I didn't pay any attention to him until he raised his voice a bit and said "buckee is here" I turned around with a smile on my face and said "I'm buckee" (or something to that effect) This guy had his hat on backward, his camo jacket kind of hangin a bit crooked off his shoulders and had a real stern, serious look on his face. He slowly leans forward, puts his hand out and says ..........."I'M HICKS" (Now at this point things are a bit fussy...LMBO ...I'm not too sure if he offered his hand first or I did, to be perfectly honest....But he did lean over and say ........"I'M HICKS" ....LMBO) Well, I'll tell ya the truth folks, my heart skipped a few quick beats and I was having flashbacks of a few bar-room brawls, but I leaned back (RATHER GRACEFULLY I MIGHT ADD)and offered my hand to shake. That (thank God...whew !!!) is when I noticed out of the corner of my eye a camera flash and tears of laughter rolling down Billybob's cheeks. Then of course, with hicks hand in mine, I looked around at all the smiling faces of all my NEW dear friends to realize, I had just been had...BIGTIME. I found out shortly afterword, that Billybob and the dawg..LOL...had hired this guy from the next lodge over to come in and pull this little prank on me. LMBO still ....I love you guys for that I had a smile on my face all weekend, all the next week and I was still smiling when I got home. My face hurt then and it's hurting now after writing this all down ...LOL Thanks Billybob and bulldawg for the best prank ever and thanks big"D" for making that whole trip possible for me. You guys...all you guys that were there, are the greatest. I had a hoot.
Tominator
Re: Hey Buckee.?????????? There ya go! LMAO--Great story Sherm. Glad we finally hauled it out of you. LOL. Great prank. When I saw that picture the first time I said to myself "no way that dude is Hicks......" I imagined hicks older, more potbellied, and to be honest, like one of them dudes in deliverance. That's funny. Ol' Hicks sure was a character. Totally forgot about the lottery argument, that was pretty funny.
