Griz
For pecans... I just got done spraying over 5000 trees here on the ranch and for what I've seen. The trees are loaded with pecans. Alot of trees have anywhere 3 to 4 to a cluster and several others have 5 to 6 to a cluster... I was told that the price is going to be the same as last year. We got $2.54 a pound for them last year... Does anyone else have pecans trees. If so how are they doing in your area...

There's one particular tree I check every year. 3 years ago I got a ton of nuts off that one tree, and boy, were they good. I love just abooot any kind of nut, pecans, hickories, walnuts, cashews, macadamia, peanuts..... Thanks, now I'm hungry,

christsavedme
Re: Looks Like It\'s Going To Be Another Good Year... I love me some pecan pie. Don't need any this year though. My wifes grandmother has some trees in her yard and we get them from her every year. Well we got to many last year and I still have a freezer full. Only one good thing about them....they are all shelled and picked! LOL

Hickories are my favorite though. I don't even bother with the walnuts, and butter nuts are a rare bird.
