OK, so i have a CVA wolf magnum, (209), i shoot 2 50 grain pellets of 777. and 295 grain hollow point powerbelt, with a 3X9 Tasco scope, i went to sight it in today down at the club, and sometimes the groups would be great, but i wouldnt even adjust the clicks on the scope and the next shot would be on the opposite of the board....i dont understand how some shots are grouped perfectly and then others are way off, and no i am doing anything to effect the shot.(such as closing my eyes, flinching, pulling off to one side)im not doing any of that, i tightened all the nuts and bolts on my scope mount, and everythings good the scope doesnt move, but my shots are still the same?can someone help?advice is much appreciated.

Re: Need some help

I had the same problem when I used powerbelts. At the time I didnt know what the problem was,but I would find the plastic seal sometimes right infront of the target and some just 30yds from were I shot. Changed to xtp bullets and got good groups. Since, I've been told to lube the snap point of the PB base and they will group better. But I never tried I just stayed with the XTP's. Could be your problem.

just like coop and you ,i had problems getting the powerbelts to group good . so i started messing with other types and found the horandy 250 sst shot great . so i would suggest trying different bullets and or powder charge . good luck.
