horst Posted August 19, 2005 Report Share Posted August 19, 2005 Ok, I do a lot of free labor for family and friends on weekends and nights and such.But Im getting soft in the head Im afraid.I am almost done re siding my inlaws house which has taken up most of my free time for the last 2 months.I have agreed to "help "side my sister in laws house as wellwhen Im done with this one.Its a small house and fairly straight so it shouldnt take long anyway.I dont mind helping, I like doing stuff like this anyway but it really cuts into my free time.So I decided no more for this year. I was walking out of my house this morning when the little old lady across the road spotted me. Shes nice enough and shes got cancer so about the farthest she gets is her front yard to let her dogs out.Anyway theres a old piece of crap wire fence she has clear around the yard.Its an eye sore.She starts telling me the Methodist priest is going to come and tear it out for her but cant find any help.Almost like someone else was talking I hear "Tell him to get ahold of me, Ill set up sometime to give him a hand" Another weekend shot.So she goes on to say she cant pay anyone.Again that stupid voice. "Dont worry about it" So she goes on to tell me the posts may be cemented into the ground.Once again I hear myself say "Dont worry about it, ill line a tractor up" Where am I gonna get a tractor?I dont know.Maybe the voices in my head will rent her one for the day So anyway, looks like Ive just given up another weekend, and I get to spend it with a priest Ive never talked to before.Im such a nice guy Hope he can handle some of the language the voices in my head use while thier working Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
