As long as you can get it zeroed and it holds zero, you will be fine. The Rem 700 has a lot of gas leakage in the action so I suggest you put some black tape on the bottom of the scope. It will keep the corrosive gasses from ruining the scope.

My 700 MLS permanently marked my Leupold Vari-X II in a dozen shots. I could not believe the build up on the scope. Still have the scope...the 700MLS is long gone. grin.gif
