Turkeygirl
Ok, yesterday afternoon I went turey hunting. I kind of walked around alot trying to find some sign so that I had an idea of where they are but I saw nothing where they usually are! Guys, i'm wondering, do turkeys in the spring follow the same pattern/stay in the same area in the fall? The last time I saw turkey sign was in September when squirrel hunting so I figure I'll need to get up one morning and go sit in the woods and see if I can hear turkeys somewhere. I don't want to give up on this land andh unt state land and I'm wondering, could the turkeys have lifted wing and moved? They logged both areas of the woods I hunt in the spring but there were still turkeys around in the spring. Where are the turkeys?
Lumpy
Re: Question Turkeys can use the same area in both the spring and the fall, but won't pattern the same. As long as their food suppy last, they will remain in the area. In the spring, it is all about breeding. In the fall, its all about food. So maybe the area ran out of food(trees stopped dropping acorns) Hope this helps
