WVreddot870
My boy is 15 yrs old and has completed his hunters safety course and has a valid hunting lic. Can he purchase a bear tag in ontario if I hunt with him?
Shaun_300
Re: Ontario youth hunting Does he have his Minor's License? (Canadian Firearms License) If he only has his Hunter's Apprentice Card, you can just have one tag and it has to be yours. Your son can hunt with you and he can fill the tag. If he has his Minor's License and his outdoors card, you can have two guns and two licenses. But you still have to be within talking distance from each other. Once he has had his Minor's License for more than 1 year, he'll get a new Minor's License that allows you to hunt apart from each other. Crazy rules eh? Shaun_300
Re: Ontario youth hunting Oh shoot, I just noticed that you are from the states. The above laws apply to Ontario Residents. I'm not sure what the laws are for non-resident youth hunters. fisherguy could probably answer your questions, he's usually pretty up to date on the regulations. Sorry man. WVreddot870
Re: Ontario youth hunting Thanks, I checked out the link to the MNR, looks like he'll be waiting until next year when he's 16.
