markyj987
My buddy's looking to add a hanging stand and a ladder stand to his land. Since he has been so helpful and let's me hunt his land, I want to chip in and split the cost with him. The goal is to add one hanging and one two-person ladder stand. Last night, i was at Wal-Mart and saw two Hunter's View Treestands at what I thought were really great prices--but I've never bought a treestand before. Does anyone have any insight on Hunter's View stands? The two that caught my eye were these: Razorback™ F350 Platform size 24" x 30" mesh Seat height: 20" 13 ½" x 8" seat with removable EVA foam padded camo seat cushion Stand attaches securely with a claw ratchet strap and a claw push button stabilizing strap Backpack straps included Cable supported platform Steel construction Includes one (1) Full-Body Fall Arrest System Weight limit: 300 lbs Product weight: 21 lbs Price: $50.00 The other one is this one: 12' Buddy Stand® L400 Platform size 40" x 13" mesh Seat height: 15" 40" x 13" seat with camo cushion Bowhunter flip-up padded shooting rail Stand attaches securely with two ratchet straps, a ladder support bar and 2 ladder stabilizing ropes Two tree connection braces for safe and secure holding power Three 4' ladder sections Steel construction Includes one (1) Full-Body Fall Arrest System Weight limit: 500 lbs Product weight: 78 lbs Price: $100.00 I was wondering if any of you had insight on Hunter's View and possibly these particular models. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
wtnhunt
Re: Hunter\'s View Treestands??? We were looking at the buddy stand at wal mart the other day Mark. Steel prices like they are, I can barely buy and build a stand for that by the time you figure the time and materials in. Looks like pretty decent stands to me. JimT
Re: Hunter\'s View Treestands??? Most of them are pretty good. The H.V. that has the small seat....I forget which model it was, has a noisy seat. When you moves it squeaks. Fix that if it is a problem and your all set. They are heavey though... huntrman
Re: Hunter\'s View Treestands??? I have 2 hunters view stands. 1 climber and 1 lock on and have had no problems at all. Don't let the price fool you with these.
bowhtr1
Re: Hunter\'s View Treestands??? I have one called the Big Horn Ram. This one is a lockon and the most comfortable one that I have. It was on sale at Natchez shooting supply for around 50 something. I will by another one when they get them back in stock. They sold out quick. It is a heavy lock on but if you hunt out of it you will want all your lockon stands to be like it.
