ruttinbuc Posted August 21, 2005 Report Share Posted August 21, 2005 Who moves the pictures in the picture post room ?? I posted pictures of stuff I am trying to sell under MISCELLANEOUS Images. I get emails telling me they moved them and now I can't get back into the classified posts to change the address. What is wrong with leaving well enough alone. If I wanted the pictures in General Archery I would have put them there. I am trying to sell something here. Put them back where I had them! Now back to the issue at hand.......while I don't do much moderating in the photo hosting room, I can appreciate your concern, but it would have been properly handled by directly getting ahold of any moderator via PM's or e-mails....or better yet, contacting the admin. Second of all, instead of throwing a tirade for everyone to see, it would have been more productive reposting your stuff....all you needed to do is to copy/paste the original posts, and then fill in the new photo addresses.......then in the meantime, we could iron out the rest of the mess and straighten things up for you.......... If you upload your pictures into your gallery the picture police won't arbitrairily relocate them. I'm not saying it's right for every occasion, but I'm sure the moves weren't made to jeapardize your sales, but were made with good intentions, in holding everyone to the same guidelines....... Maybe we should add a "Classifieds" room in there, for short term pictures, where if you've got something for sale, you could host your images in there for quick reference ?? Just a thought.... I don't know which room you had originally put them in, but they should have been put in the Misc. Archery hosting room......they're all archery gear.....it's a no brainer.... In an effor to check some things out......I posted some misc. pics just to see what happens to them.......I'm guessing you could just host them in your own "member gallery" and not pick a room....they might be safe that way ?? I did put the pictures into the miscellaneous images bracket just below archery. I went through the same thing with the taxidermy rooms. One is hunting and one is fishing..... while all taxidermy is taxidermy... Whatever the case it is straightened out and I again apologize. Your Classified room idea just might be the route to take to avoid confusion in the future. I would also like a bit more time to edit posts for just a situation as this.
