Lumpy
Re: bow hunting turkey I have taken one gobbler with my bow and it was a totally different ball game that with a gun. God Bless

Rhino
Re: bow hunting turkey Used...yes, killed one with a bow...no. My preferred turkey hunting tactics just haven't worked out too well with a stick and a string. I hate to sit and wait in a blind. I'm a go after them gorilla warfare kind of turkey hunter that feels the need to do what's necessary to get in front of where a gobbler seems to want to go to work him (if he won't work in on the 1st set up) rather than just sit, call, and wait in a blind. That means choosing a tree to sit on where I feel I need to set up. That drastically limits my options for cover to hide the movement of drawing a bow. I discovered that trying to draw a bow on a gobbler under those circumstances is almost impossible. Nothing wrong with sitting in a blind but I just prefer other tactics for hunting turkeys. PA_Spike_King
Re: bow hunting turkey Shoot a turkey with a bow you ask, Not me cuz I just get to excited and probably couldn't hit the side of a barn. LOL
Nut
Re: bow hunting turkey I'm still trying to get one with a bow. I try every fall with only a bow.....last fall if I used a shotgun I could have filled my tag 3 different times. The drawing back on my bow has busted me everytime....maybe it is time I use a blind.
