Straight Shooter
Re: holier than thou forum members Yes Doc, it is a perfect place for this discussion. I think Canine has more than explained himself, it's just a lot of people are disecting every little comment he is making. Just like what is happening to me. Go figure! wtnhunt
Re: holier than thou forum members drp hit the nail on the head. Great response. Dont think anyone was claiming to be any better than anyone else or trying to deliberately put anyone down. As far as some of the comments that have been made in regards to the shot and the placement it really does not matter. Personally not a shot I would have attempted, but you have to take the shots you are confident in and dont worry about what anyone else says. At the same time if you post it in here for everyone to see and comment on dont get bent out of shape when other members offer criticisms. Shake it off and live and learn. dg
Re: holier than thou forum members It's easy to be on higher ground when all you are facing is a computer monitor with no one looking eye-to-eye!
superguide
Re: holier than thou forum members Here's a way to make yourself bear down-if you shoot a deer and lose it-cancel your tag-trhat's what I did-you'll be alot more careful next time. It was so stupid what I did-I crawled on my stomach across an open field probably 400 yards-then shot from prone and dropped the deer. Instead of running up to it I was pacing off the distance as I walked up to it-it ran away-this was 20 years ago I actually quit hunting for two years I was so disgusted with myself.
