Well those of you that remember, we have 4 children. My oldest is my son and he lives on his own. Then I have three girls, 21, 19 & 18. The middle one also lives on her own. We just took the other two, the oldest and the baby to college at Suny Brockport which is about 20 minutes west of Rochester NY. SO ........ now we have no one left at home. Well except 2 dogs and four cats, but they don't talk back. And to top it off, it is our aniversary today. Life is grand.

Re: Empty Home Now

Happy Anniversary: I guess the "quiet house" is a little odd: My parents had both of their son's move about 3-1/2 hours away about 8 years ago....they constantly talked about how quiet the house was...and they loved it when one of our friends stopped by to visit. Both my brother and I moved back "home" this past year..We live within 5 miles of my parents....they love it......so do we! As a matter of fact, I had lunch at their place today, while dropping off their new freezer! Enjoy the quiet now....there is a good chance they'll be back ;-)

Re: Empty Home Now

I met a man in China that had that same situation. He and his wife decided that an empty house wasn't for them. He was adopting his second daughter, his first adopted daughter was still only 3 yrs. If you need some excitement I have the phone # : )

Re: Empty Home Now

Don't look at it like an empty nest. Look at it like an achievement. Your wife and you taught them well, raised them right and eventually the wings spread and the they take off. Sure its a bit sad, but know that your child is a piece of you and you are ALWAYS with them. Congratulations on a job well done.

Now you get to look forward to weddings and

grand kids!!! Ain't life Great?

My mother always said" I cried when you left, I'll cry harder if you come back!"

No stop reading this, log off and go find your wife! grin.gifshocked.gifgrin.gif
