dogdoc
Re: how long weather play a big role--I've set up stands and game cams and have pics within hours after leaving. sometimes i might set up a cam and not get a pic for days. mainebuck
Re: how long When I go into my hunting areas before the season I try to time it so a rain will be coming shortly thereafter to try to wash away some of my scent. There area a lot of variables that could affect how the deer will react.
ruttinbuc
Re: how long You always want to wear rubber boots, gloves and use cover scent whenever you go to your stand sites. I know it can be a hassle for some will tell you its not necessary, but its better to be a little safe than sorry. Too much activity in the areas you hunt can make for an unsuccessful season. Deer don't tolerate continued human presence in the woods. In town they might!
BowJoe
Re: how long Too many factors to determine a direct answer. You would have to consider the Temp., season, time of day, used to humans, location. All of these have an effect on how they respond to human scent. If you can walk into the woods and smell the woods really strongly, then they can smell changes to the woods just a strong.
